The Prohibition-era original used honey to counter the less-than-smooth bathtub gin. Ours uses wildflower honey syrup and lemon to compliment the wonderful Barr Hill Gin, made with honey by Vermont bee keepers.
Recipe Ingredients
2 ounces gin (preferably Barr Hill Gin)
3/4 ounce lemon juice (preferably freshly squeezed)
3/4 ounce honey syrup (honey syrup recipe)
Directions
Wet shake: Combine all ingredients in a Boston Shaker, shake with ice, strain into a (preferably chilled) coup glass.
Extra points
Lemon peel zest and garnish
